Ch'uang Chuan Pai Southern Shaolin Kung Fu International Chinese Boxing Association World Wide
WELCOME TO THE INTERNATIONAL CHINESE BOXING ASSOCIATION - WORLD WIDE
ICBA WORLDWIDE - 3308 Preston Road; Suite 350-356; Plano, Texas 75093

The International Chinese Boxing Society began in 1969 in New York as the Iron Tiger Society of Chinese Martial Arts. The organization was a fraternal group for Chinese Boxing enthusiasts. At the time there were few public Kwoons and the underground schools did not participate in interaction outside of its own Pai or System.
In the mid to late 1970's the organization grew based on the popularity of Bruce Lee and his movies - bringing Chinese Arts to the forefront. The Iron Tiger Society reorganized under the Kuoshu Association with a Charter from the Taiwan Boxing (Pugilism) Association.
Dr. Daniel Pai and other early adopters of Chinese Kuoshu (sponsored by the Republic of China - with an interest to promote traditional Gung Fu - not Wu Shu) organized the Chinese Kuoshu World Wide promotion Association under the auspices of General Chen Shou-Shan of Taipei and his assistant Secretary General Ma-Hsing Li. At that time the growing Kuoshu Organization in the United States was re-charted as the World Chinese Martial Arts Federation (WCMAF) and was chaired by GM Grago. The organization was accepted as the first US Kung Fu organization as an "Organizational Member" of the CKWPA - with GM Grago as its President. In the early 1980's an alliance between Alan Stewart - WIng Chun Shi-Fu of Melbourne , Australia and Shi-Fu Grago brought forth the ICBA - International Chinese Boxing Association - World Wide. This Group was also accepted and admitted into Kuoshu. Dr. Grago was certified as a senior instructor under the auspice of Kuoshu requirements and regulations and the ICBA grew as a fraternal organization to encompass 14 countries and as many as 10,000 practitioners. Today the ICBA is a component part of Ch'uang Chuan Pai and will always be maintained for its heritage and dedication to the Preservation of the Legacy of true Chinese Martial Arts.
There are now two ways to join the ICBA - as a student or a member of the instructor training / crossover program you are automatically a member of the ICBA as long as your Ch'uang Chuan Pai membership remains active. You may also choose to become a direct member within the ICBA - to do this you may request membership via email or using the form to the right.
The ICBA continues to provide preservation of the Legacy of Chinese Martial arts and works as a fraternal organization to help and assist all Chinese martial artists regardless of political or stylistic affiliations.
